Count the Words in a Word Document on your Computer

Need to now how many words are in your articles or term papers. Here's how to count them quickly and easily.

Step1

KEY IT IN: Type up your article or document into the Microsoft Word Program on your computer.

Step2

COPY IT IN: If you have the document keyed into another program, simply copy and past it to word.

Step3

COUNT: Go to the tools menu on the toolbar. Click on word count. It will bring up the statistics for your document and tell you how many words are in it. If you only want to know how many words are in a paragraph, simply highlight the paragraph and go to word count to find out.
