Disk Cleanup is calculating how much space you will be able to free on (c:).
This may take a few minutes to complete.
Downloaded program files are active X controls and Java applets downloaded automatically from the internet when you view certain pages.
They are temporally stored in the Downloaded Program files folder on your hardisk.
Step1
Click START bottom left, from your laptop or computer.Step2
Click ACCESSORIES, go to SYSTEM TOOLS, this will take you to DISK CLEANUP.Step3
Disk Cleanup You will see a box that says, Disk Cleanup for (c:). Click OK.You can look around on the tabs above, to see other files you may want to cleanup, if you don't want to cleanup anything else, don't click anything else. Some of the files will be:
"Downloaded Program Files"
"Temporary Internet Files"
"Offline Webpages"
"Office Setup Files"
"Recycle Bin"
Temporary Files"
"Web Client/Publisher Temporary Files"
"Compress Old Files"
"Catalog Files for the Content Indexer"
You can also view the files, or just choose OK.
Step4
Another box will pop up that will say, You can use Disk Cleanup to Free up of disk space on (c:). Click OK.You will see another box that will say, ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PERFORM THESE ACTIONS? Click OK.
Step5
Another Box will show up that will say;The Disk Cleanup utility is cleaning up unnecessary files on your (c:) drive file. The Box will disappear.
Your computer's drive (c:) hardisk is now clean.
